Dear friends
One of the places I have enjoyed exploring the most since moving to the Naseby Group is Haddon Fields just outside of Clipston village.
A place to explore, to find fossils, to go pond dipping and to marvel at the wonder of God's creation, not forgetting to see in the odd bird of prey.
The undulating contours of the field, the ridge and furrow, the sheep and the stream running through all combined to create a very peaceful place.
Streams in the Bible are often used as pictures to help us to understand God and how he moves and works.
Whether it be the shepherd who leads his sheep to the quiet stream in the Psalms, or God saying that he will make streams flow through the desert bringing new life in Isaiah, or as a symbol of God's desire for justice and righteousness in Amos.
On the 29th of June this month, we are having a Benefice Vision Sunday for our seven parishes to come and explore together what the future may look like. It will be a chance to hope together, and one of the pictures we will be drawing on is that of the stream.
So if this intrigues you, please do put this in your diary and prioritise joining us in this important moment for us as a group of churches.
We'll be thinking about our service patterns and how they best meet the changing needs of our communities, as well as thinking how do we reach our villages, neighbours and friends with the good news of the love of God.
We will continue our time together after in Welford Village Hall for a bring and share meal.
I look forward to seeing many of you there in this important time for us as a group of churches.
Blessings
Tom
